House Manager/Co-Manager

Working at Tallwood House as a manager or co-manager is very rewarding! The home’s family lifestyle provides an opportunity to directly engage with residents and to work closely with staff in a broad variety of activities. Training is available for all duties.

Overview of House Manager's responsibilities and duties (Co-manager duties would be assigned from this list):

​

• Metaphysically support the home, its staff, residents, & activities.

• Maintain a healing atmosphere in the home at all times. Love and cooperation with residents and staff members is essential!

• Keep the Board of Directors informed of activities and needs at the home.

• Respond to admission inquiries and admit residents.

• Assess, develop, and oversee each resident's care plan.

• Contact family members, Christian Science practitioners, and authorities, as needed.

• Order supplies.

• Schedule staff, resident care. Fill scheduling gaps with contract staff, or fill in with your own hours.

• Schedule and arrange resident activities.

• Oversee menu plan, meal prep, and service.

• Oversee home and equipment maintenance.

• Manage staff when on duty; assign leadership when off duty.

• Answer residents’ concerns that go beyond staff responsibility.
